Nusra Front gave notifications to the occupants of the houses and real estates in Idlib, informing them that the owners of those houses and real estates who live in areas under the control of the Syrian state had to come to Idlib.

Nusra Front exploits the closure of roads and crossings to seize ownership of these houses and real estates under the pretext that the owners did not turn up within the deadline set by Nusra Front.

The sources added that Nusra Front issued a resolution that rejected any power of attorney made to a relative of the owner, either written or video recorded in order to prevent the relatives from protecting the real estates by providing documentations.

The sources said Nusra Front started to put its new policy into force. Nusra Front leader, Mazhar al-Wes is leading the campaign of looting estates. Al-Wes is a close to al-Jolani.

Since it seized control over Idlib, Nusra Front has been looting civilians’ properties under different pretexts. For example, Nusra Front would seize control over real estates if the properties belonged to Christians, employees in government institutions, migrants living abroad, or even people living in areas under the control of the Syrian government.
