For the second consecutive day, the militants of al-Nusra Front and the allied takfiri factions continued to prevent civilians from leaving their areas of control in Idlib through the humanitarian crossing that the Syrian state has opened in Saraqib.

An SDC field source who witnessed the opening of the crossing said that “Al-Nusra” gunmen today fired with a 23 mm machine gun from their locations in the village of Al-Nayrab towards the “Saraqib” complex, with the aim of terrorizing and preventing civilians from heading towards the humanitarian crossing to reach the Syrian state areas.

The source added that a number of families tried to gather in order to exit towards the humanitarian crossing yesterday and today, but the militants prevented them at gunpoint, indicating that there were Russian attempts to put pressure on the Turkish side in order to stop the practices of “Al-Nusra” and allow civilians wishing to leave to go towards the humanitarian crossing.

The governor of Idlib, Muhammad Netouf, said in press statements that dozens of citizens from the liberated countryside are waiting for their families and children to leave, adding that there are / 3 / thousand secondary students and / 3300 / elementary students in the areas controlled by the armed factions, and they have the full desire for submitting their exams at the examination centers of the Ministry of Education in safe areas.

It is noteworthy that “Idlib governorate,” in cooperation with the Syrian army and the “Syrian Red Crescent” organization, has prepared medical teams and ambulances at the humanitarian crossing, as well as a temporary residence center in “Al-Sabeel” neighborhood in the city of Hama to receive civilians leaving Idlib.
