A new “Israeli” aggression against Damascus.. and Syrian defenses respond
Last midnight, the “Israeli” occupation carried out a new aggression targeting the Syrian capital, Damascus, through missiles that the Syrian air defenses managed to shoot down most.
SDC sources reported from the Syrian capital that by 1:00 a.m., explosions were heard in the airspace of Damascus and Rif Dimashq, to be known later that they resulted from the Syrian air defenses’ response to a missile attack targeting the capital.
A Syrian military source during an official statement declared at dawn today: “Today at about 12:56 a.m., the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression with bursts of rockets from the direction of the Lebanese territories targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus, and our air defenses confronted the missiles, and shot down most of them. The aggression also resulted in the wounding of four soldiers, and some material losses.
For its part, reliable media sources said that one of the Syrian air defenses’ missiles chased an “Israeli” enemy warplane in the airspace of the border area, and its sound was heard throughout southern Lebanon.
On 16th last February, the Syrian capital, Damascus, was subjected to a similar “Israeli” aggression, and the Syrian air defenses were then able to confront the aggression and drop most of the enemy missiles. The “Israeli” occupation forces continue to carry out their attacks towards the Syrian territories, amid complete international silence with regard to these Israeli successive violations.
