SDC sources confirmed the killing of two Turkish soldiers, and the wounding of others, as a result of the “units” targeting on the city of “Afrin” in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The sources pointed out that the two soldiers were killed due to a missile attack on a Turkish point in the city of Afrin that caught fire and then an explosion after the fire reached ammunition boxes, noting that other members of the Turkish forces were wounded.

This targeting comes as part of a military escalation that ignited the northern countryside of Aleppo through the mutual bombardment from Wednesday night until dawn Thursday, which began with intense Turkish attacks on the areas of “Kashtar”, “Meng”, “Ain Digna” and “Tal Rifaat” in the north Aleppo.

According to the Russian Reconciliation Center in Hmeimim, 5 civilians were killed as a result of these Turkish attacks, while 6 others were wounded. This attack was followed by intense targeting by the Kurdish units on the city of Afrin, which is under the control of the Turkish-backed armed factions.
