Clashes renewed around the city of "Ain Issa" in the countryside of Raqqa, between the armed factions and the Turkish forces on one side, and the "SDF" militants on the other hand, following an attack carried out by the Turkish factions in the direction of the city on Thursday.

Clashes renewed around the city of “Ain Issa” in the countryside of Raqqa, between the armed factions and the Turkish forces on one side, and the “SDF” militants on the other hand, following an attack carried out by the Turkish factions in the direction of the city on Thursday.

Sources of the Syrian Documentation Center reported that the violent clashes broke out between the 2 sides on the axis of “Sayda” in the countryside of “Ain Issa”, as part of a new attempt by the Turkish militants to advance towards the city.

The sources emphasized that the “SDF” militants managed to damage a military armored vehicle of the armed factions, amid violent clashes and mutual targeting by grenades that lasted for hours.

The sources pointed out that the attack ended after the retreat of the armed factions from the area, noting that the dead and wounded were killed on both sides, the number of which exceeded 5 of the attacking factions’ militants.

The city of Ain Issa in the countryside of Raqqa has been witnessing for months, a Turkish military escalation represented by the continued missile strikes and attacks carried out by Turkey and its factions, noting that this escalation appeared most intense during the past month, during which the city was subjected to many attacks, the largest of which was the one that lasted about 3 consecutive days, during which 30 militants from the Turkish factions were killed or wounded.
