The “SDF” militants, supported by the US carried out a new campaign of arrests targeting the people of the village of “Al-Hawayj” in the eastern countryside of Deir Al-Zour.

Sources of the Syrian Documentation Center reported that the militants arrested 7 people from the village after raiding their homes, under the pretext that they belonged to “ISIS”, without providing any evidence for that.

The sources quoted from the families of some of the detainees, who denied the accusations of the “SDF”, stressing that their sons doesn’t belong to any military party and have no relationship at all, adding that the real reason for the “SDF” practices is extortion and demanding a ransom.

During the last 10 days, it has been noticed that there has been a significant increase in the arrest campaigns targeting the village of Al-Hawaij in the countryside of Deir Al-Zour, for those under 18 years old.

It’s noteworthy that most of the “SDF” arrests that are taking place in the various areas under its control come with made pretexts aimed at blackmailing the detainees’ families and forcing them to pay huge sums of money in exchange for the release of their children, and under the threat of including them under what is called “compulsory recruitment” in its ranks in case they didn’t pay.
