SDC private sources indicated that the “Ankara factions” gunmen destroyed and stole a power converter in the village of “Katar” in the area of “Suluk”, northern countryside of Raqqa.

The sources said that the gunmen targeted the converter located within one of the agricultural projects in the village, destroying it and stealing the cables it contained in order to sell the copper inside to scrap dealers, who in turn transport and sell in Turkey.

The sources added that looting the converter led to a complete blackout in the village, in addition to water cuts, amid fears of the villagers about the current situation after the theft of the converter, whose value is estimated at $ 3500.

The incident is part of the continuing violations of the Turkish forces and their loyal factions in the northern regions of Syria, as the Turkish-backed factions continue to loot and steal public and private property in their areas of deployment.

The “Ankara factions” armed with looting operations target the infrastructure of the areas in which they are located in order to sell the stolen goods in the scrap market and smuggle them to Turkey, despite the effects of these acts on the regions, the residents and the services they need in their daily life.
