The Russian Defense Ministry monitors new violations in the “de-escalation” zone northern Syria

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had monitored 28 violations of the ceasefire agreement within the “de-escalation” zone in northwest Syria, all of which were carried out by the militants of “Al-Nusra Front” organization, enlisted on the international terrorism list.

The deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Brigadier General Vadim Kolet, stated that the militants of “Al-Nusra” carried out 28 attacks on the Syrian state during Sunday, distributed by /15/ attacks on Idlib, /5/ on Lattakia, /6/ on Hama and two attacks on Aleppo governorate.

All of these attacks were carried out by “Al-Nusra Front” only, without the participation of any other armed faction, noting that one of these attacks targeted the city of Aleppo through two rocket shells that fell in “Al-Shahba Al-Jadida” neighborhood, and their damages were limited to material without causing any human casualties.

The recent targeting of the city of Aleppo indicates that the military escalation by “Al-Nusra” and the Turkish forces supporting it has reached a dangerous stage, especially since the Turkish moves and the operations of mobilizing the armed factions on the battlefronts with the Syrian army have increased remarkably during the past two months, in a clear violation of the cease-fire agreement previously signed between Russia and Turkey.

Some military analysts told SDC that a new Turkish attack on Syrian territory could begin soon, especially since Turkey continues to mobilize its forces and heavy machinery within the illegal military base that it recently established near the town of “Al-Bara” of Idlib countryside.

The Turkish military escalation coincides with continuous attempts by “Al-Nusra Front” to fabricate a new chemical attack, accusing the Syrian army of it, in order to be a pretext for Turkey before the international community to justify its aggression on Syrian territory.
However, Russia’s monitoring of the transfer of chemical materials revealed the intentions of “Al-Nusra” before implementing its plans.
