“Basr al-Harir” joins the Daraa settlement agreement
The town of “Basr al-Harir” joined the Daraa settlement agreement that is ongoing in the province since the beginning of last month with Russian mediation. This morning, Thursday, the Syrian Security and Military Committee established a reconciliation center inside the town to receive militants and wanted who want to settle their situation and hand over their weapons.
SDC sources reported that the Syrian state opened the new settlement center in the town of “Basr al-Harir”, north of Daraa, which received, since the first hours of its opening, dozens of armed and wanted men who settled their situations and handed over various weapons.
The sources also noted that the opening of the new reconciliation center in “Basr al-Harir” came in conjunction with the start of the Syrian army units combing and inspection operations in the villages of “Al-Maleha Al-Sharqiya” and “Al-Maleha Al-Gharbia” after the settlement procedures were completed therein, in implementation of the terms of the Daraa Agreement and in preparation for the activation of service facilities within the two villages.
With the start of the process of settling the situation of the militants and wanted in the town of “Basr al-Harir”, the number of areas that joined the Daraa settlement agreement this week and last week becomes 10, as the villages of “Al-Ghariya Al-Sharqiah”, “Al-Ghariya Al-Gharbia” and “Al-Karak” have previously joined the reconciliation, in addition to the towns of “Al-Sura”, “Alma”, “Khirbet Ghazala” and ” Jiza”, and the city of “Al-Harak”, in which settlement operations are nearing completion.
