Official preparations for new settlements in Deir Al-Zour.
The sources reported that preparations are taking place in Deir Al-Zour, to conduct regularization processes for the status of wanted persons and deserters from military service.
According to the sources, the settlements will start next Sunday under the Russian auspices, within the framework of the national reconciliation launched by the Syrian state, and will constitute an opportunity for the wanted persons to solve their problem and return to their normal lives.
The sources stated that the agreement to make settlements was made in agreement with the tribal sheikhs, who sought to coordinate with the concerned authorities in order to make the consensus succeed, and to solve the problems of those wanted to return them to their normal lives in their cities and villages.
According to the sources, the settlement procedures will start as of next Sunday in Deir Al-Zour from the gym in the city center, to extend successively to the countryside, where a specialized committee will be formed from the Ministries of Interior and Justice and the security services, to solve the problems of the wanted persons and give them special documents to stop their prosecution.
The settlements aim to restore normal life in the city, impose stability, return the wanted persons to their civilian lives away from violence, and spare the governorate further destruction and bloodshed, as part of the Syrian state’s endeavor to end the manifestations of war in the various governorates.
