Russian Reconciliation Center: Syrian defenses shot down 10 Israeli missiles out of 12

Vice President of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, Rear Admiral Vadim Kolet, said that the Syrian air defenses shot down most of the missiles of the recent Israeli aggression that targeted Homs Governorate.

Kolet’s statement stated that the Syrian army’s air defenses had shot down 10 Israeli missiles out of 12 that were launched by “Israeli” F-16 warplanes from the direction of Lebanese territory, targeting sites in Homs governorate.

The statement indicated that the Syrian army used the Russian-made “Buk-M2A” and “Pantsir-S” systems to confront the attack.

Yesterday, the Hebrew channel /12/ reported that one of the missiles launched by the Syrian army exploded over a beach in Haifa, considering that the missile missed its course and entered the city’s airspace, where its shrapnel fell into the sea, and did not cause damage.

The Israeli occupation forces carried out, at dawn yesterday, a new aggression on Syrian territory, the fourth of its kind this month, and an official military source said that the aggression led to the loss of two civilians’ lives, and the injury of a civilian and 6 soldiers, in addition to material damage, while the occupation entity continued the policy of silence and non-accreditation of the attacks launched by his forces on Syrian territory.

It is noteworthy that Syria has repeatedly called on the UN Security Council and the United Nations to increase pressure on the occupation entity to stop its attacks on Syrian territory and its violation of international resolutions and laws, without receiving any response from the international community.
