A gunman was killed, and two civilians were wounded due to a car bomb explosion that took place this morning in the center of the city of A’zaz, which is under the control of the Turkish forces and their militants in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

According to SDC local sources, the car that exploded belonged to one of the militants of the Turkish-backed “Military Police” faction, as he was inside the car parked in front of the transportation building in the “Al-Asyana” neighborhood in the city of A’zaz, before the IEDs inside the car exploded.

The sources said that the gunman was killed instantly, while two passing by civilians were injured, to be transferred to A’zaz National Hospital for treatment, and the sources indicated that they are in a stable health condition.

The explosion also caused significant material damage to civilians’ properties and homes, in addition to damaging a large number of shops and cars parked in the area.

The explosion was followed by a state of great security alert in Azaz by Ankara gunmen, who rushed to close the city’s entrances and exits# and imposed a security cordon around the site of the explosion, in conjunction with the implementation of extensive search and raid campaigns in the “Al-Asyana” neighborhood under the pretext of searching for the perpetrators of the bombing, without any significant result.

No party claimed respobsability for the Azaz bombing until the moment, while the coordination of Turkish militants was divided between accusing the Kurdish units’ militants, and accusing the sleeper cells of the “ISIS” organization, which is still very active within the areas of Turkish influence, especially in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The residents of the areas controlled by Turkey and its militants in northern Syria in general, and in the northern countryside of Aleppo in particular, suffer from the worsening security and living conditions, in light of the inability of Turkey’s militants to control the security conditions in their areas, and the continuation of the bombings whose victims are often civilians, in addition to the clashes and infighting that erupt from time to time between Ankara militants for reasons mostly related to disputes over sharing the stolen goods, the proceeds of the checkpoints, and the royalties imposed on the people.
