After taking control over al-Muhandiseen countryside and Kafar Jom, 90% of Aleppo-Damascus Highway is safe

The Syrian army made great progress in the operations of securing the west of Aleppo-Damascus Highway. The Syrian army took control over the first al-Muhandiseen countryside and Kafar Jom in Aleppo southern countryside, securing 90% of Aleppo-Damascus Highway.

In the past few days, the Syrian army secured the east of the highway after taking control over all the villages north Zerbeh village reaching the fourth Rashdeen to continue its operations after liberating Khan al-Assal at the entrance of Aleppo City.

Battles over securing the west of Aleppo-Damascus Highway continue. The Syrian army intensively targeted sites of the militants in the villages of Kafar Naha, Urem al-Kubrah, Urem al-Soghra, and al-Atareb. Violent clashes broke out in the vicinity of Kafar Noran as well.

On Wednesday the Syrian army took control over the villages of al-Shikh Ali and Arnaz which both lie west the highway. In addition, the Syrian army repelled an attack of Nusra Front on its points in Kafar Halab. Only less than 10 km is the distance between areas under the control of the Syrian army in Aleppo western countryside and Khan al-Assal at the entrance of the city in the west. If the Syrian army takes control over the villages of Urem al-Kobrah, Urem al-Soghrah, Baydar Yunus and Mafar Naha, Aleppo-Damascus Highway will be completely safe from both sides.
