The head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Admiral "Oleg Goravlev" revealed the detonation of two armored vehicles belonging to the Turkish Army by gunmen of extremist terrorist organizations.

“Goraflev” said in a press statement that the militants of the these terrorist organizations put explosive devices on the road for the passage of Turkish vehicles participating in observation patrols in Idlib governorate, on the international “Aleppo-Lattakia” road.

“Goraflev” indicated that the improvised explosive devices exploded during the passage of Turkish patrols at the “Sfouhen” area in southern Idlib countryside, which resulted in damaging the vehicles and the injury of two Turkish soldiers.

According to the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, “militant organizations not linked to Turkey continue to violate the cease-fire with the aim of destabilizing Idlib”, indicating that these organizations implemented during the past 24 hours, 7 violations of the armistice in Idlib while none Turkish-backed factions practice any violation of the ceasefire, according to his statement.

The Russian Center for Reconciliation called upon the illegal organizations to abandon armed military provocations and pursue peaceful means to settle the situation in the areas they control.

The Turkish forces, however, have previously clashed with extremist organizations in Idlib, specifically in “Muhambal” area with the Al-Qaeda-linked organization “Guardians of Religion”, which announced the rejection of the cease-fire agreement and the conduct of patrols on the M4 international road, and targeted Turkish forces with explosive devices, after which armed clashes erupted between Turkish soldiers and the organization’s fighters.
