Syrian ministry of health announces the largest number of coronavirus cases en bloc in Syria

On Saturday, Syrian ministry of health registered eleven cases of coronavirus, bringing the total of confirmed cases to seventy. The ministry said the eleven cases were of Syrians coming from Kuwait. The total of coronavirus cases in Syria has reached 70 with 37 recovered and 4 deaths.

On Friday, Syrian ministry of health registered a case and a death among the comers from Kuwait. In addition one of the infected was recovered. Syrian ministry of foreign affairs cooperated with ministry of health and ministry of transportation to bring home the Syrians stranded abroad who had been wanting to return back home in coronavirus crisis as countries closed borders and banned travel. Syrian ministry of health provided quarantine centers for comers to stay in for 14 days.

Days earlier Syrian ministry of health said there were not any local infections for 20 days and all cases were from the comers from abroad.

By Saturday, the number of coronavirus cases en bloc has been the largest since March.
