Despite sanctions, China sends medical aids to Syria to fight back coronavirus
Syrian Ministry of Health received the Chinese aids that included medical clothes for use for a single time, masks, glasses, sterilizers, thermometers, and protective products for medical staff that deal with coronavirus patients.
On April 15, the Chinese government sent the first batch of medical aids that included scans for about 2000 people to diagnose coronavirus infections according to Chinese ambassador in Damascus, Feng Biao.
Chinese aids to Syria come to help Syria fight coronavirus pandemic at a time when difficulties increase due to the sanctions imposed by Europe and the US that impede the medical and medicinal supplies to Syria to fight the coronavirus crisis.
In April, Syria received medical aids from Russia, including artificial respirators, test tools as well as protective clothes to support the government in its fight against coronavirus.
According to Syrian Ministry of Health, the number of coronavirus infections in Syria has reached 123, with 53 recovered and 64 receiving treatment.
