Turkish-backed militants arrest a citizen in Afrin charged with “apostasy”
The sources reported that the militants prevented the woman’s relatives from burying her in accordance to the customs usually followed, which spurred her husband to express his anger. Later the militants retaliated by accusing him of “apostasy.”
The sources said the man is facing an unknown destiny in the militants prisons amid his relatives’ fears of killing him. The militants violations against civilians in Afrin continue, ranging from arrest and asking for ransoms, theft, murder under torture and coercive deportation which add to a list of crimes in which Turkish forces and their allies were involved in since they took control over Afrin more than two years ago.
