SDC sources said at first the attack targeted a single military point in Shahatyeh near Athrya then they conducted another attack with explosive missiles on several other points in Salamyeh countryside, to disperse the concentration of the army units.

The sources confirmed no changes have been made on the control map as the Syrian army repelled all the attacks which killed and injured about 15 militants in the one-hour clashes.

The Turkish-backed factions conduct offensives against Hama countryside deliberately every now and then in a blatant violation to the signed ceasefire agreements. The latest targeting was made on Jureen and al-Barakeh village northwest Hama late August, wounding a civilian.
