Sources close to Al-Nusra stated that the leader was called “Fahd Al-Qalamouni,” nicknamed “Sajid,” was killed by ISIS militants while pursuing one of their cells in the “Salqin” area, west of Idlib.

Before al-Nusra announced that it had managed to kill 2 of the most prominent leaders of “ISIS” in Syria.

The sources indicated that “Al-Qalamouni” was killed during the operation of tracking down the “ISIS” cell without explaining his targeting.

While local sources reported that former detainees at Al-Nusra had identified Al-Qalamouni and said that he was supervising the torture of detainees in Al-Nusra prisons.

The sources added that “Al-Qalamouni” was an assistant investigator in Idlib prison, then moved later the prison of the “Badia” branch in the city, where many detainees testified that he had participated in the killings and torture that took place in Al-Nusra prisons.

“Al-Qalamouni” was previously an assistant to the investigator in “Al-Nusra” called “Abu Moaz Al-Homsi”, after they fought together in ranks of Al-Nusra during its time in the “Qalamoun” mountains alongside the prominent leader “Abu Malik Al-Tali” in addition to the proximity of “Al-Qalamouni” to the legitimate leader of Al-Nusra “Abu Maria Al-Qahtani”, who mourned him on social media.

Al-Nusra announced yesterday the assassination of the 2 leaders of ISIS “Yusef Nauman” nicknamed “Abu Al-Harith”, the brother of the so-called Wali of Iraq with the organization, alongside his companion, “Sami Al-Jubouri” who was heading the so-called delegation committee” at ISIS.
