Missile targeting diesel market killed and injured many in Jarablus northeast Aleppo, Syria

SDC local sources said over 20 people were killed and injured by shelling that is of unknown origin targeting the diesel market between the villages of Ayn al-Bayda and al-Kousa jn the countryside of Jarablus under the control of the Turkish-backed armed factions in Aleppo northeastern countryside.

The sources said the targeting took place at 7.30 pm on Friday evening with several missiles rocking the main square in the diesel market. The tanks loaded with fuel were exploded inside the square and all people inside were killed.

No confirmed information has been known yet on the nature of the targeting. There has been some contradictory news as some said the targeting was conducted by unidentified warplanes and other news said it was carryied out by long-range missiles.

The explosion resulted in a huge fire innthe market and its vicinity and grave material damage in addition to the casualties. The Turkish-backed armed forces cordoned the entire market.

In 2019, similar targetings were carried out against areas where oil was sold and smuggled in areas under the control of the Turkish-backed armed forces. Oil refinery burners were also targeted, especially those in the vicinity of Tarheen in al-Bab countryside east Aleppo.
