Disputes have renewed between the Turkish factions in “Afrin”, north of Aleppo, due to the distribution of relief rations and theft.

Sources of the Syrian Documentation Center reported that the Turkish “Army of Islam” faction attacked a humanitarian organization while distributing relief aid, in the “Taranda” neighborhood of the city of Afrin, to force them to take aid rations from them by force.

The source added that a dispute have arosed between the organization’s cadres and the faction’s militants, who quickly began firing in the air, to intimidate the organization’s workers and the people who flocked to obtain their relief rations.

The source pointed out that the “Army of Islam” militants attacked a young man called “Ibrahim Hayek” and stabbed him several times, after which he was transferred to the hospital, while this prompted members of the “Levantine Front” faction to intervene in the face of “Army of Islam”, where a case of Tension in the area amid fears of residents of the outbreak of armed battles in the city center between the 2 factions.

The source indicated that the members of the Levantine Front demanded the surrender of the aggressors against Hayek, but the “Army of Islam” members refused to do so, and withdrew from in front of the organization’s headquarters, amid fears of confrontations between the 2 sides at any moment.

It’s noteworthy that the northern regions of Syria are constantly witnessing internal fighting between the armed groups loyal to Ankara, in light of its struggles over influence, thefts, smuggling crossings and others.
