Syrian army deployed west As Suwayda after security tensions in the region
Secretary of Baath Party in As Suwayda, Fawzat Shqer said in press statements that the Syrian army will not allow any armed aspects in the region. The units were deployed between al-Qarya and Bosra al-Sham and set a checkpoint in Sama al-Henedat to prevent smuggling and circulating weapons out of the control of the Syrian government.
Shqer added that the Syrian army mission is to maintain peace and stability and called not to go after rumors that aim to spread chaos on social media networks over events in the region. Shqer also called upon the inhabitants only to rely on official information and said everyone has to take responsibility for their actions and will then bear legal consequences of them.
